Igor Ernesto Schmucker, aluno da Escola Giovani Pasqualini Faraco, anunciou a decisão mais importante de sua vida: vai cursar Sistemas para Internet. A escolha aconteceu durante a Mostra das Profissões, realizada nos dias 7 e 8 de agosto, na Faculdade Ielusc. A definição da profissão levou em conta suas habilidades pessoais, destreza matemática e, principalmente, o crescimento das oportunidades no mercado de trabalho.

Quase 4,2 bilhões de pessoas possuem acesso à internet no mundo, segundo o Q4 Global Digital Statshot. Além disso, 3,4 bilhões de cidadãos usaram mídias sociais em setembro de 2018, um aumento de 10% em relação ao mesmo mês de 2017. Sobre o uso do smartphone, o relatório aponta que mais de 5,1 bilhões de pessoas possuem esse dispositivo. O Brasil possui aproximadamente 210 milhões de habitantes, cerca de 70% da população tem acesso à internet e 97% utiliza o celular móvel como dispositivo para acessar a rede (IBGE, 2018).

Como a era digital veio para ficar e a conectividade entre as pessoas só aumenta, o curso de Sistemas para Internet passou a ser fundamental para a construção de ambientes, redes e softwares capazes de satisfazerem as necessidades e demandas humanas. Segundo o Relatório Setorial de TIC 2019, da Brasscom, sobram vagas e falta mão de obra na tecnologia. Em 2018 o segmento de tecnologia empregou mais de 1 milhão de pessoas e gerou mais de 43 mil novos empregos no Brasil. Do total de empregos gerados, 28 mil são dos subsetores de Software e Serviços, segmento que, segundo o relatório, possui maior potencial de crescimento para os próximos anos. A perspectiva é que até 2024 o setor deva demandar 420 mil novos profissionais

Sobre a formação do tecnólogo na Faculade Ielusc, a coordenadora do curso, Kérley Winques, revela que na grade “têm disciplinas mais práticas, tais como programação web e mobile, e também aquelas voltadas para as necessidades do mercado de trabalho: gerenciamento de projetos, projeto integrado e gestão de negócios”. Essa formação é importante porque pelo menos metade dos 70 mil empregos que devem ser criados em TI por ano até 2024 podem não ser preenchidos; as transformações digitais nos negócios e startups explicam essa demanda por profissionais que entendem de tecnologia, mas, de maneira complementar, também devem ter visão de mercado.
